(A&P)(NYSE:GAP), officially unveiled Green Way, a new private label line featuring over 200 healthy, organic and eco-friendly products, designed to provide shoppers with a breadth of food and grocery items that are high-quality, affordable and eco-friendly.

A&P, which has been at the forefront of private label grocery products for nearly 150 years, developed the Green Way line as one of more than 10 brands in the Company’s expansive Own Brands private label grocery program.  The Green Way line is specifically designed to provide shoppers with the highest quality, organic and all-natural items, while maintaining a strong comittment to environmental stewardship.

From pasta and juices to fresh tomatoes – even home cleaning items – every product in A&P’s exclusive Green Way line is made without the use of harmful pesticides, chemicals or artificial fertilizers.  Other categories within the line include such items as whole wheat bread, organic baby carrots, extra virgin olive oil, salsa, sauces, canned tomatoes, breads, balsamic vinegar, dressings, vegetables and much more.

To complement this exciting new line of Green Way products, A&P has developed a collection of reusable, all-natural cotton canvas bags, giving shoppers stylish, yet eco-friendly options that cater to the entire family.  The Green Way bag line comes in three different, trendy styles:

· Laundry Bag – The easy-to-carry extra large Green Way laundry bag features a sturdy over-the-shoulder strap and a drawstring closure, and has a fun “wash me” quote on the front.
