Description: Wilkinson Industries, Inc. is launching its new Fresh Performance® 13-inch round, six-compartment black polyethylene terephthalate (PET) tray in both vented and non-vented transparent PET lid options.

The design offers a fresh option to those looking to display compartmentalized products in a more contemporary way. Ideal uses include catering, deli, gift packs, etc. for fresh cut produce.

Two lid options provide additional flexibility to meet product performance criteria. The non-vented lid option is preferred for fruits or other products with high moisture content. The tight lid-to-container fit minimizes leakage. The tray also includes a center compartment that can be used for dips or other contents.

The vented lid is designed as a companion to trays which have been sealed with a transparent film. (The tray includes a film-sealing flange.) Molded structural elements create a 1/8-inch void between the film and the inside of the lid enabling oxygen transfer. This allows the contents to “breathe,” minimizing spoilage and extending shelf life. The vented option is ideal for produce such as broccoli and cauliflower that have a high gas transmission rate.
